You explain it once
You describe your business to the person who will write the code. There is no meeting report to review, no specification document to sign off, no brief translated three times before it reaches a developer.
Nathan Goutagny, founder of NateSystem, takes your call, scopes the work, delivers it and trains your team.
So there is no intermediary between the original request, the technical choices and what actually ships: and no lock-in either: the code, the accounts and the data are in your name, on a standard stack another developer can pick up.
You explain it once. And you depend on no one to keep going.
In a conventional project, your problem is heard by a consultant, written up, passed on, translated into specifications, then coded by someone who has never spoken to you. Every handover costs precision.
Here there are none. That is the main advantage of working this way: and its counterweight is stated openly: the code, the accounts and the data stay with you, your team is trained until it is autonomous, and documentation is a deliverable rather than a favour.
You describe your business to the person who will write the code. There is no meeting report to review, no specification document to sign off, no brief translated three times before it reaches a developer.
The system is built around your existing tools, not next to them. Your CRM stays the source of truth; what gets added are the links, the actions and the views that were missing.
A user guide and an administrator guide are handed over at go-live. These are not end-of-project appendices: they are the documents that let you carry on without us.
At least two people are trained to run the loop on their own. Until that is true, the engagement is not finished.
The point of an engagement is not to make you dependent. Build & Run exists for teams who would rather delegate day-to-day running: not because there is no alternative.
Subscriptions are opened in your name and paid by you. The source code is yours. You depend neither on a closed platform nor on a supplier to reach your own data.
I am Nathan Goutagny, founder of NateSystem. I have spent the last few years building custom business software for SMEs: built on their real processes, not on a vendor’s. Every engagement ended on the same observation: they did not have a tool problem, they already had too many tools. They had a usage problem.
The clearest case was a consultancy. Its audit method was worth more than any software I could have sold it, but it lived only in its founder’s head and spreadsheets. Three quarters of his time went into re-entering and reformatting. Making the method self-sufficient did not give him a tool: it gave him his profession back.
Then an audit inside an engineering consultancy: terabytes of studies and project files accumulated over the years, everything archived, almost nothing reused. At a time when anyone can produce fast, that stock is the one advantage a competitor cannot copy. It was lying dormant. This offer comes from there.
This firm does not sell hours: it sells a way of assessing an operation, with its own grids, its benchmark thresholds and its way of scoring. That method already existed, in full. It simply could not be used by anyone other than the person who wrote it.
An operational performance consultancy. It audits its clients on site and hands them a costed action plan.
This case comes from a custom business software engagement that predates the offer sold on this site. It demonstrates no acquisition result and is not presented as one.
Client not namedThis case is published without the client’s name: we have not yet asked for their consent. They will be named once they give it, not before. Everything described below can be verified in the delivered system.
The code repository, the database and the hosting moved onto their own accounts, under a perpetual licence. NateSystem keeps a maintenance access, revocable by them. This is not a contract clause we are showing you: it is a transfer that took place, and this site could not claim it if the client could not confirm it.
Both figures come from the client and concern their own business. They were not measured by NateSystem, and they relate to the custom software engagement described here, not to the acquisition offer sold on this site. Everything else in this case can be verified in the delivered system.
This offer has not yet been delivered to a client. So there is no case study, no reply rate and no meeting count to show you, and we are not going to fabricate any. Here is what you can verify before committing to anything, not after.
Built, delivered, measured
Planned in the offer, not yet delivered
Public example, clearly labelled
The first Diagnostics will produce the first measured proof, and it will be published as it comes out, including if it disappoints.
We only use professional data that is relevant to the person’s role. The source and the reason for the contact are documented. The sender is clearly identified. Unsubscribing is simple, immediate and permanent: the contact goes onto a suppression list. Campaign data is minimised, access-restricted, and hosted in the European Union whenever possible. You remain the owner of your data and your accounts.
This describes a practice, not legal advice: processing responsibilities are defined engagement by engagement.
natesystem.com covers the full activity: custom business software, every sector. This site is dedicated to firms that sell expertise: consultancies, engineering firms, design offices, technical agencies and project-based B2B services.
Nathan answers, and Nathan is the one who will build it if we work together.
